Kodaikanal Lake

Kodaikanal Lake, fondly called Kodai Lake, is the shimmering heart of this mist-kissed hill station. Crafted in 1863 under the vision of Sir Vere Henry Levinge, the then Collector of Madurai, this man-made lake has since become one of Kodaikanal’s most enduring icons. Shaped like a star and gently cradled by rolling green hills, the lake feels less like a human creation and more like a natural poem written in water and light.
